David Spangler is an author and teacher of spirituality. He began his career in 1964 at the age of nineteen, lecturing on insights gained from his contact with non-physical realms. For the following six years he was based in San Francisco but traveled widely, holding workshops and classes around the United States. In 1970, he went to Scotland to visit the Findhorn Foundation community there. The visit turned into a three-year stay, during which time he served as a co-director of the community and a founder of its educational program. He returned to the United States with a number of colleagues in 1973 to form the Lorian Association, a non-profit spiritual educational foundation, which remains to this day the organization for which he works. He currently teaches or co-teaches a number of online classes for Lorian, including a two-year Masters Degree program. Information about this work can be found at www.Lorian.org .

Since returning to the United States in the early seventies, David has continued to travel and lecture widely. He has developed and taught classes at a number of institutions, including the University of Wisconsin, Seattle University, Bastyr University, and the California Institute of Integral Studies. His current work involves developing and teaching a spiritual practice and perspective called incarnational spirituality. Again, more information can be found on the Lorian website.

His books include Emergence; The Call; Everyday Miracles; Parent as Mystic, Mystic as Parent; The Story Tree; Manifestation: Creating the Life You Love; and the forthcoming Apprenticed to Spirit.

David is happily married with four children ranging in age from twenty-two to ten. He considers being a parent his primary spiritual practice.
